Post-Domestic Litigation

Just because you have a final decree of divorce or dissolution it doesn’t mean your case is over.  Post-domestic litigation can entail:

  • Enforcement of Child Support Orders

  • Non-payment of Spousal Support

  • Failure to Transfer Assets

  • Later Discovered Fraud

  • Proceedings to Show Cause for Contempt

  • Drafting and execution of Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDRO)

  • Drafting and execution of Division of Property Orders (DOPO)

  • Changing Custody

  • Modification of Parenting Time

  • Creation or Termination of Shared Parenting

  • Emergency Orders

When parties sign a decree of divorce or enter into a judgment entry of dissolution the orders are a matter of law and require strict enforcement.  Interpretation of court orders requires careful evaluation of the language used in the orders that either aid in enforcement or protect against enforcement.  The lawyers of Albrechta & Coble are dedicated to following the rule of law, so long as it is just.
